<br />Hookah Lounge Moratorium Extension <br />April 3, 2006 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />lounge for a 45-day time period, which is due <br /> <br />During the <br />additional <br />preparation <br /> <br />45-day interim ordinance period, <br />analysis will be necessary in <br />of a permanent ordinance for this <br /> <br />to expire on April 6, 2006. <br />staff has determined that <br />order to assist in the <br />use. <br /> <br />Staff is recommending an extension to be adopted by the City Council that <br />would allow the development of appropriate standards for hookah parlors <br />and to determine the appropriate level of review required for approval. <br />The extension of the moratorium will be for an additional 10 months and <br />15 days, February 18, 2007 based on Government Code Section 65858.
