MINUTES OF TNE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />JANUARY 7, 1991 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 4:28 p.m. in Room 147, Council Chambers, <br />22 Civic Center Plaza, by Mayor Dan Young. Councilmembers present were <br />John Acosta, Daniel E. Griset, Patricia A. McGuigan, Rick Norton, Miguel A. <br />Pulido, and Robert L. Richardson. Also present were City Manager David N. <br />Ream, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy. <br /> <br />COUNCIL STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />UPDATE ON "SUPER STREET" - MOULTON PARKWAY <br /> <br />Roger A. Hohnbaum, Road Program Manager, Orange County Environmental <br />Management Agency, briefed the Council regarding the development of Moulton <br />Parkway as a "super street" {a major arterial with enhanced traffic flow). <br />He explained the Environmental Management Agency was soliciting comments <br />from each of the five jurisdictions through which the Parkway traversed for <br />inclusion in the final reconmendations relating to the Parkway Traffic <br />Study. Hohnbaum indicated a draft report would be available to the cities <br />for comment in March, 1991, and following agreement by the impacted cities <br />to the proposed traffic improvements, the funding issues would be addressed. <br /> <br />"IT'S NO SURPRISEJ POLITICAL BOUNDARIES ARE CHANGING" <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council reported that the Senate Elections and <br />Reapportionment Committee would hold a public hearing on January ll, 1991 <br />in the Santa Aha Council Chambers to solicit public comments regarding the <br />adjustment of Legislative and Congressional District boundaries. A video <br />which provided an overview of the process was shown by the Clerk. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR REVIEW <br /> <br />Councilmembers expressed no concerns with respect to Consent Calendar items. <br /> <br />RECESSED - 5:08 P.M. <br /> <br />RECONVENED - COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 5:17 P.M. - All Councilmembers present. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 1 JANUARY 7, 1991 <br /> <br /> <br />
