MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />JANUARY 22, 1991 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 4:21 p.m. in Room 147, Council Chambers, <br />22 Civic Center Plaza, by Mayor Dan Young. Councilmembers present were <br />John Acosta, Patricia A. McGuigan, Miguel A. Pulido, and Robert L. <br />Richardson. Also present were City Manager David N. Ream, City Attorney <br />Edward J. Cooper and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy. <br /> <br />Councilmembers Rick Norton and Daniel E. Griset joined the meeting at <br />4:25 p.m. and 4:55 p.m., respectively. <br /> <br />COUNCIL STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS (ITEM 25.C.) <br /> <br />Robyn Uptegraff, Executive Director, Planning and Building Agency, briefly <br />reviewed proposed changes to the City's Residential Development Standards <br />and provided the Council with a list of recent small-lot subdivisions which <br />included respective average lot sizes. <br /> <br />Camille Courtney, Executive Vice President, D & D Development Company, <br />requested clarification regarding the calculation of gross lot size. <br /> <br />Mary Jane Arcemont, representing the Mar-Les Homeowners Association, <br />expressed concern that the current Code allowed construction of additional <br />units on large single-family residential lots. <br /> <br />Staff responded to their concerns, as well as Councilmembers' questions <br />regarding the proposed Code changes. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR REVIEW <br /> <br />Councilmembers discussed concerns with respect to Consent Calendar items. <br /> <br />RECESSED - 5:03 P.M. <br /> <br />RECONVENED IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 5:17 P.M. - All Councilmembers present. <br /> <br />SERVICE RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />MAYOR YOUNG <br /> <br />Donald MacDonald, Police Officer <br />Police Department <br />25 Years of Service <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 16 JANUARY 22, 1991 <br /> <br /> <br />
