CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Norton left the meeting at 9:23 p.m. <br /> <br />In response to an inquiry from Councilmember Acosta, Council Services <br />Manager Lorraine Lazarine indicated Coween Dickerson had been sent a W-4 <br />Form and that the amount owed by the City to Dickerson was 5600.00. <br /> <br />The City Manager indicated he would provide a report concerning the City's <br />water conservation efforts in response to Acosta's inquiry. <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta inquired as to whether the City was developing a <br />"gang warfare" suppression plan. The City Manager responded that the <br />Santa Ana Police Department's Gang Unit was increased in last year's <br />budget and the Police Department was currently expending considerable <br />effort to reduce gang warfare. <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta commended the Santa Aha Police Department for its <br />successful action in dispersing a noisy party in his neighborhood. He <br />also expressed his thanks to the Council for allowing extended discussion <br />on the shutting down of the swap meet at Rancho Santiago College, <br />particularly since the issue had not been an agenda item. <br /> <br />In response to Councilmember McGdigan's question, Community Development <br />Agency Executive Director Cindy Nelson indicated she would provide a <br />report to the Council on the status of the demolition of the building at <br />First and Bristol within the next few days. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Pulido encouraged the listening audience to comment <br />regarding the proposed pushcart regulation ordinance. He also requested <br />staff provide the Public Safety Committee wi th information regarding <br />automated traffic control and citation systems. <br /> <br />Councilmember Richardson informed ~taff that he had received a request <br />from the Heninger Park neighborhood for installation of a parking plan <br />similar to that which had been approved for the Willard-Ross neighborhood. <br /> <br />Councilmember Griset and Mayor Young commended David Ream on another <br />successful year as City Manager. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT - 9:37 P.M. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 61 FEBRUARY 19, 1991 <br /> <br /> <br />
