<br />3. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ON MAIN I WARNER SCHOOL SITE <br /> <br />'-' <br /> <br />Vicki Uehli reported that the District had been contacted regarding the status of <br />the school and improvements to the corner. The District indicated they were not <br />far along with their plans; however, they are aware of the City's concerns. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />ARTISTS VILLAGE AND DOWNTOWN <br /> <br />John Reekstin reported as follows: <br />. Olson sales are progressing very well with units priced from $350,000- <br />$400,000. <br />. The East Village phase will break ground soon. <br />. Staff is investigating the possible relocation of Festival Hall, as they will need <br />to start their noise mitigation soon. <br />. Phillips Hutton will start construction soon. <br />. The YMCA building has seen interest from KOCE, Community Courts, the <br />YMCA itself, and Art of Rock and Roll. The biggest obstacle is the estimated <br />$8 million needed for rehabilitation. <br />. Urban West Strategies and Greystone Homes are looking into the feasibility <br />of a loft/retail project on several lots within the Downtown. <br /> <br />'" <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />PROJECT UPDATES <br /> <br />a) SWC First and Main - Mike Harrah has purchased the United Automotive <br />Building and is in escrow on the office furniture store. He is interested in <br />bringing an Original Joe's Restaurant into the building and has requested <br />Community Redevelopment Agency assistance. Staff is currently <br />negotiating with Mr. Harrah. <br /> <br />b) Security and Safety Issues on South Sycamore - Notices of Violation will <br />be issued for code issues along the ally by the end of January. <br /> <br />6.
