<br />4. <br /> <br />UPDATE ON DIRECTIONAL SIGNAGE PROGRAM <br /> <br />..... <br /> <br />Zed Lekula of PWA staff stated that the City Council approved Phase lion <br />October 6, and that the signs will be installed by March 2004. A sign signifying <br />"Downtown Retail" will be included on all poles. Future signage is contingent on <br />available funding. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />DEBRIEF ON FIESTAS DE LAS AMERICAS <br /> <br />Matt Lamb stated that the event was a tremendous success, with 280,000 to <br />300,000 attendees. Approximately 85,000 attended the parade. The parade will <br />be moved to Saturday next year. Approximately $40,000 in net revenue was <br />generated by the event. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />UPDATE ON SANDPOINTE NEIGHBORHOOD WALL <br /> <br />..... <br /> <br />Judy and Vic Edge both addressed the Committee on this item and requested <br />that the neighborhood be notified when the project is scheduled to begin. It <br />appears that sufficient funds to repair the entire wall have been generated by <br />various developers at MacArthur Place. Nexus Development will provide the <br />"gap" financing to reconstruct the entire wall, with construction beginning within <br />the next few months. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />There were no public comments. <br /> <br />8.
