Statistics for this year <br />show that the activity is not significant, however, at times, it is problematic. Most <br />cases are quality of life problems with no felonies. There have been 33 <br />disturbance calls in the area. Captain Saadeh is working with the Executive <br />Director of the facility to keep the issues down. Captain Saadeh will also look <br />into the statistics for the Delhi neighborhood and bring them back to the <br />committee in two months. <br /> <br />4. S. Main Street Improvements - Phase II Update, George Alvarez <br /> <br />George Alvarez discussed the staging of Phase II improvements from Edinger to <br />Columbine. Stage 1 of Phase II will take place from 9/04 to 11/04 and Stage 2 <br />from 11/04 to 3/05. The total project investment is 3 million. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />City Banner Policy, Teri Cable <br /> <br />CHOC banners have been extended for two 90-day periods, which extends the <br />period through June 30, 2004. The committee discussed the issue of multiple <br />groups asking to put banners up in South Main. The committee asked Teri to <br />work with CHOC to bring down one-half of the banners they currently have up to <br />make room for United Way banners. <br /> <br />PROJECT UPDATES <br /> <br />a) SWC First and Main Streets - <br /> <br />Mike Harrah would like to open the restaurant in 6 weeks. Sergio Klotz <br />distributed a status memo on plan check and permit issuance for the project. <br /> <br />b) Citv Place West- <br /> <br />The Environmentalist Consultant is determining the appropriate level of <br />environmental analysis required. <br /> <br />c) YMCA- <br /> <br />Danell Mercado and Matt Lamb are working on a due diligence process with <br />ABCO Realty. John Reekstin is working with Rosie Avila on a potential Youth <br />Facility for the building.
