Yvette Clark <br /> <br />SUMMARY OF DISCUSSIONS <br /> <br />\.. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />The Minutes of the May 19, 2003 meeting were approved. <br /> <br />2. EDUCATIONAL PROCESS FOR JAil INMATES <br /> <br />Russ Davis reviewed the educational programs that are offered to the <br />Santa Ana Jail inmates and answered questions from the Committee <br />members. <br /> <br />3. ALARM ORDINANCE PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Collie Provence reviewed the history of the Alarm Ordinance that has <br />been in effect since July 1981. Yvette Clark reviewed the current process <br />regarding alarm system permits and changes that have been made to <br />Section 10-281 of the SAMC, which will go into effect on July 1,2003. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />CRIMINAL ACTIVITY EVICTION PROGRAM <br /> <br />\,... <br /> <br />George Saadeh and Paula Coleman reviewed a proposed Ordinance <br />entitled Narcotics and Gang Related Crime Eviction Program. The <br />purpose of the Ordinance is to allow for a process of eliminating any illegal <br />drug activity, drug-related nuisance activity or gang-related crime from a <br />property through an eviction program after arrest and conviction for <br />
