Willard School Neighborhood Inter-Agency Task Force <br />activities, to which the City Manager responded he would <br />provide a progress report as an Agenda item at the next <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Griset recommended Police and other City personnel form a <br />network with apartment building managers to address street crime problems. <br /> <br />Mayor Young requested the City Manager to prepare a men~randum describing <br />how the City can expedite the agreement process for the new Birtcher <br />building planned for the Xerox Center. The Mayor pointed out that <br />concluding the agreement would facilitate the clean-up of the <br />graffiti-riddled AllState building on Fourth Street by the I-5 Freeway and <br />allow occupancy of the building by new tenants and businesses. <br /> <br />RECESSED TO CLOSED SESSION - ROOM 147 - 7:05 P.M. <br /> <br />The Assistant Clerk of the Council announced the City Council was recessing <br />to Closed Session pursuant to: <br /> <br />Government Code Section 54957.6 to meet with its designated representatives <br />regarding labor relations matters. <br /> <br />and pursuant to: <br /> <br />Government Code Section 54956.9(a) to confer with its attorney regarding <br />pending litigation which has been initiated formally, and to which the City <br />is a party to wit: <br /> <br />Hills vs. City of Santa Ana <br />Neilson vs. City of Santa Ana (Worker's Compensation) <br />Osborne vs. City of Santa Aha (Worker's Compensation) <br />Strengberg vs. City of Santa Aha (Worker's Compensation) <br /> <br />and pursuant to: <br /> <br />Government Code Section 54956.9(b)(1) regarding a significant exposure. <br /> <br />RECONVENED - COUNCIL C~U~4BERS - 7:17 P.M. - All Councilmembers present <br />except Councilmember Norton who was absent. <br /> <br />70.A. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> <br />Autho ri ze settlements as fol 1 ows: <br /> <br />Strengberg vs. City of Santa Ana (Worker's Compensation), in the <br />amount of $13,720.00. <br /> <br />Osborne vs. City of Santa Aha (Worker's Compensation), in a <br />compromise and release in the amount of $38,000.00. <br /> <br />Neilson vs. City of Santa Aha (Worker's Compensation), in a <br />compromise and release in the amount of $15,000.00. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />145 <br /> <br />MAY 20, 1991 <br /> <br /> <br />
