The parts are <br />purchased and inventoried at the City's Corporate Yard by Fleet Maintenance <br />Personnel. Non-stock items are ordered on an as-needed basis. The <br />contracts allow for automotive parts replacement as required. <br />On April 7, 2003, the City Council awarded contracts to the above listed <br />vendors for a two-year period, with provision for three one-year renewals. <br />All the vendors have agreed to the second renewal option to the contracts, <br />however, increases in raw materials including plastics and steel have <br />resulted in price increases across the board of 5 percent to 10 percent. <br />Due to low demand of the stock parts offered, the contract with Bob Stall <br />Chevrolet will not be renewed. Adamson Industries and The Truck Lighthouse <br />contracts are increased to cover vehicle parts to convert new Police sedans <br />to fleet specifications. The contract for Orange County Auto Parts reflects <br />increased usage. The recommended vendors have performed satisfactorily <br />22A-1 <br />
