Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $1,431,100. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />This segment of McFadden Avenue between Raitt and Bristol Streets has <br />been identified as a high priority in the City's Pavement Management <br />System (Exhibit 1). The pavement is deteriorating due to weather, age and <br />heavy usage. Some of the adjacent curbs, gutter, sidewalks and driveway <br />approaches are also in various states of disrepair and require <br />replacement. <br /> <br />The project provides for construction of new street pavement, replacement <br />of damaged concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks, cross gutters, driveway <br />approaches and wheelchair ramps. Once completed, these improvements will <br />enhance the ride quality, surface drainage and visual appearance of the <br />street. <br /> <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on February 24 and 27, 2006, and <br />bids were opened on March 22, 2006.
