VI. HAZARDS/HAZARDOUS MATERIALS <br />A. Create a significant hazard to the public or the <br />environment through the routine transport, use or disposal <br />of hazardous materials? <br />8. Emit hazardous emissions or handle hazardous or acutely <br />hazardous materials, substance or waste within one-quarter <br />mile of an existing or proposed school? <br />C. Be located on a site which is located on a list of <br />hazardous material sites compiles pursuant to Government <br />Code Section 659662.5 and, as a result, would it create a <br />significant hazard to the public or the environment? <br />No Impact <br />Approval of the proposed amendment to the single family <br />residential standards would not result in hazardous material <br />safety impacts, in that the proposed zoning ordinance amendment <br />does not directly involve any activities that involve the <br />handling and storage of hazardous materials. <br />Construction operations for single family dwellings developed <br />under the amended standards could involve the handling of <br />incidental amounts of hazardous materials. However, <br />construction operations would be subject to local, state and <br />federal regulations concerning the handling and storage of <br />hazardous materials. <br />D. For a project located within an airport land use plan or <br />where such a plan has not been adopted, within two miles <br />where a public airport or public use airport, would the <br />project result in a safety hazard for people residing or <br />working in the project area? <br />No Impact <br />According to the City of Santa Ana General Plan Land Use Element <br />EIR, Santa Ana is not located within any aircraft accident <br />potential zones. Additionally, there are no private airstrips in <br />the City. Therefore, approval of the proposed zoning ordinance <br />amendment would not increase the potential for safety hazards <br />for people residing in or working within the City. <br />7~4 <br />
