Not Appropriate -Knock-Down Stucco <br />The following methods are not recommended when repairing or replacing exterior plaster: <br />Replacement of smooth plaster finish with knock-down stucco on Spanish Colonial Revival, <br />English and French Tudor architectural style residences. <br />Patching plaster without removing all loose pieces and thoroughly cleaning the patch area or <br />without creating a "locked joint" to form between old and new materials. <br />Applying new stucco in such a way that it covers or obscures existing architectural features, <br />such as niches, window trim, exterior molding or the edged roof trim. <br />33 <br />
