Olive, presented a petition to the City Council requesting the City <br />discontinue its tree removal plans for the 2300-2400 block of North Olive Lane. <br /> <br />Larry Christian, Maintenance Services Manager, clarified that the proposed contract award <br />was for the mid-city area, not Ms. Mills' neighborhood. He also showed slides <br />demonstrating various conditions, such as damage to adjacent sidewalks and curbs, that <br />justify tree removal. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tern Pulido requested that all contracts for tree removal, pruning, or planting, be <br />reviewed by the Environmental and Transportation Advisory Committee prior to action by <br />the City Council. <br /> <br />Councilmember Richardson clarified that the City will retain trees scheduled for removal if <br />property owners so request. <br /> <br />Motion: Award in accordance with the Request for Council action. <br /> <br />TREE REMOVAL (PHASE I) - VARIOUS STREETS - To Lambaren <br />Contractors in the amount of $37,995.00 - Public Works Agency <br /> PROJ 9230 <br />MOTION: Richardson SECOND: Pulido <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 21 JANUARY 21, 1992 <br /> <br /> <br />
