This staff <br />person will also work to expand the accc's current network of employers and <br />educational organizations to further facilitate and improve these post program <br />placements. In tandem with the accc WIA Coordinator, the accc Director of Cms <br />Development and other assigned staff will also be responsible for expanding accc's <br />current supportive service network designed to overcome identified barriers to <br />employment. Supportive service network expansion will include establishing the rapport <br />necessary to facilitate effective referral and follow-up with childcare providers, <br />apprenticeship programs, social service agencies, transportation providers, vocational <br />training schools, substance abuse counseling, housing, food, emergency services, etc. <br /> <br />Follow-up <br />OCCC will conduct 3D-day, gO-day, 6-month and 12-month follow-ups with accc <br />graduates. The WIA Coordinator working with the Transition Specialist will contact both <br />the participant and the employer. Assistance will be provided to overcome any barriers <br />to employment retention, address and/or resolve problems or issues affecting job <br />performance, and to offer accc support and encouragement. Corpsmembers are <br />encouraged to return to accc for job search assistance, counseling, employment <br />retention skills reinforcement, and to complete high school requirements for graduation. <br />OCCC conducts monthly alumni meetings to afford graduates the opportunity to network <br />and receive assistance from OCCC education and case management staff. <br />Unemployed Corps graduates in good standing, i.e., saHsfactory work performance and <br />attendance, will be eligibie for OCCC rehire and further OCCC participation. <br /> <br />Facilities <br /> <br />From where will program services be delivered? <br />How has the organization assured that the location is a safe and youth friendly <br />environment? <br />The OCCC WIA Coordinator will have overall responsibility for ensuring that project <br />locations are safe and youth friendly. <br /> <br />Program services will be delivered from a variety of locations. ~CCC .will deliv~r <br />outreach, recruitment, administrative, and educational services at Its main office In <br />Anaheim. Additional outreach and recruitment will be delivered at the WORK Center, <br />TSJ, and other youth service provider locations. Each individual organization will be <br />responsible for ensuring their location is safe and youth friendly. <br /> <br />Park projects will be completed in 34 parks in Santa Ana. City park personnel and <br />OCCC Crew Supervisors are responsible for ensuring the safety of park proJects. <br /> <br />Internships will be provided at various employer locations. The OCCC WIA Coordinator <br />will make site visits to ensure locations are safe and youth friendly. <br /> <br />Construction and housing rehabilitation projects will also be provided at various project <br />sites. OCCC Crew Supervisors will have the responsibility to ensure project sites are <br />safe and youth friendly. <br />
