<br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br /> <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br /> <br />May 15, 2006 <br />TITLE: <br /> <br />AGREEMENT AMENDMENT FOR <br />MANAGEMENT WITH SIEMENS <br />BUILDING TECHNOLOGY <br /> <br />ENERGY <br /> <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />o As Recommended <br />o As Amended <br />o Ordinance on 1 sl Reading <br />o Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />o Implementing Resolution <br />o Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />ITY MANAGER <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and the <br />Clerk of the Council to execute an amendment to the agreement with Siemens <br />Building Technologies for the modification and repair of energy management <br />systems for various City buildings for the remaining seven-year term, in an <br />annual amount of $12,000, for a total annual amount not to exceed $74,577. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The City has several buildings equipped with energy management systems. <br />These include City Hall, Ross Annex, Corporation Yard, Main Library, New <br />Hope Library and the Santa Ana Senior Center. On occasion improvements to <br />the system are required above the routine maintenance. The additional funds <br />would be used for system modifications.
