Find that the subject project is Categorically Exempt (Class 21) from the provisions of CEQA <br />pursuant to Section 15321(b). <br />2. Approve Agreement between the County of Orange and the City of Santa Ana for the <br />provision of overtime services to suppress gang violence, under a federal grant to the Santa <br />Ana Police Department, effective retroactively from October 1, 2005, through June 30, 2006. <br />3. Authorize the Chief Probation Officer to execute, on behalf of the County of Orange, the <br />Agreement with the City of Santa Ana. <br />SUMMARY: <br />The Probation Department requests Board approval of the proposed Agreement with City of Santa Ana <br />for the provision of overtime services to suppress gang violence, under a federal grant to the Santa Ana <br />Police Department, effective retroactively from October 1, 2005, through June 30, 2006, and authorization <br />for the Chief Probation Officer to execute, on behalf of the County of Orange, the Agreement with the <br />City of Santa Ana. <br />BACKGROUND INFORMATION: <br />On June 8, 2004, your Honorable Board approved Agreement No. A-2003-273 between the County of <br />Orange (COUNTY) and the City of Santa Ana (CITY) for the provision of overtime services to suppress <br />Page 1 <br />
