The response below is taken directly from the application. <br /> <br />GOAL AND OBJECTIVESIIMPLEMENTATlON STRATEGY <br />In the space below, please list the primary goals and objectives for your progrom. <br />Provide projected numbers of Santa Ana residents to be served, ahtftlle kinds of <br />services they would receive if your progrom is funded. Also describe the specifIC <br />actions and tasks that would be performed on a day-to-day basis to achieve these goals. <br /> <br />Goal: to assist low-income women who face substantial barriers to employment <br />in their transition from dependence to economic self-sufficiency. <br />Objectives: <br />(1) Provide a professional wardrobe to 118 clients from Santa Ana. <br />Task/Action: <br />(A) Continue to accept referrals for eligible clients from nonprofit, <br />governmental, and faith-based agencies in Santa Ana that WHW <br />currently works with. <br />(B) Cultivate referrals from additional agencies in Santa Ana. <br />(C) Schedule appointment(s) for clients to use the clothes closet. <br />(D) Provide clients with the following items from the clothes closet free <br />of charge: 10 items of business clothing (suits, skirts, jackets, blouses, <br />dresses, pants), 4 pairs of shoes, I purse, 3 belts,S pieces of jewelry, <br />5 pieces of makeup,S undergarments, personal hygiene products, a <br />complimentary hair dresser/styling service and 5 pieces of casual <br />clothing. <br />(E) Provide an incentive for clients to secure employment by offering <br />them an additional 5 pieces of business clothing after the clients have <br />demonstrated proof of employment. <br /> <br />(2) Provide each of these 118 women an opportunity to utilize the services <br />provided in the Learning Center. <br />Task/Action: <br />(A) Schedule formalleaming center computer classes in Basic <br />Computing; Introduction to Windows; Microsoft Word and Microsoft <br />Excel at various skill levels; and PowerPoint presentations. <br />(B) Provide computer classes in both English and Spanish. <br />(C) Provide certificates for those who complete requisite classes. <br />(D) Schedule informal tutorial computer sessions where individual skill <br />level needs are addressed. <br />(E) Facilitate completion of the GEO program in both English and <br />Spanish. <br />(F) Provide assistance with resume preparation, cover letters, and other <br />skills associated with job search preparation/readiness. <br />(G) Provide access to the Learning Center during all the hours of <br />operation at WHW so that clients can practice skills. <br /> <br />Exhibit A <br />
