During construction the actual quantity of excavated <br />material was found to exceed the estimated quantity for the contract. <br />The cost overrun is due to an oversight in estimating the quantity of <br />excavated material. The contractor will be paid according to the actual <br />quantities of work and the agreed unit price. <br /> <br />Estimated cost = $103,000 <br /> <br />The Agency/Council's approval is required to cover the extra costs <br />exceeding the project contingency. <br /> <br />80A-2 <br /> <br />
