Provide <br />projected numbers of Santa Ana residents to be served, and the kinds of services they would <br />receive if your program is funded. Also describe the specific actiol1s a.nd tasks that would be <br />performed on a day-to-day basis to achieve these goals. <br /> <br />See Appendix B for examples. <br /> <br />Goal: To help victims of domestic violence and their children. <br />Objective(s): To provide shelter for victims of domestic violence with or without children. <br />Task/Action: ~ <br />1. Provide emergency shelter (including food, clothing, and advocacy) for at least 1,000 <br />victims of domestic violence and their children. <br />2. Provide 11,000 bed nights (adults and children). <br />3. Provide multilingual/multicultural case management for at least 1,000 victims of <br />domestic violence and their children. <br />4. Provide a bilingual hotline to at least 10,000 annual callers. <br />5. Provide educational classes (Le., ESULiteracy, domestic violence dynamics, <br />independent living skills, parenting, finances, household management) for victims of <br />domestic violence. <br /> <br />Goal: To reduce the immediate number of homeless on the streets. <br />Objective(s): To reduce the ongoing numbers of homeless on the streets. <br />Task/Action: <br />1. Train/notify police departments, social service agencies, etc. regarding the <br />availability and use of the shelter programs. <br />2. Provide counseling services that may assist in the identification of any existing <br />resources/issues that have led to the continuation of homelessness (i.e., mental <br />health and/or substance abuse problems, ongoing domestic violence issues). <br />3. Provide legal and immigration advocacy to assist with any long-term issues (i.e., <br />immigration status, child custody, visitation, permanent restraining orders, child <br />support). <br />4.
