GOALS AND OBJECTIVESI <br />IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY <br /> <br />In the space below, please list the primary goals and objectives for your program. <br />Provide projected numbers of Santa Ana residents to be served, and the kinds of <br />services they would receive if your program is funded. Also describe the specific actions <br />and tasks that would be performed on a day-to-day basis to achieve these goals. <br /> <br />See Appendix A for examples. <br />Goal: Increase access and utilization of behavioral and mental health services. <br />Obiective(s): <br />1. Provide mental health services to at least 7,000 clients. <br />Task/Action: <br />1. Provide services at a community center where clients feel safe and <br />comfortable. <br />2. Provide multilingual/multicultural services. <br />3. Provide comprehensive services through a combination of Center counselors <br />and UCI psychiatrists.' <br />Goal: Fight substance abuse in at-risk families. <br />Obiective(s): <br />1. Increase substance abuse intervention levels to at least 2,000 clients. <br />Task/Action: <br />1. Develop a teen/adult substance abuse awareness and intervention <br />curriculum. <br />2. Develop a treatment referral list for in- and out-patient interventions. <br />3. Incorporate substance abuse awareness into current educational programs <br />and classes. <br />Goal: Intervene in the intergenerational cycle of violence and abuse. <br />Obiective(s): <br />1. Provide counseling and a therapeutic children's program to at least 1,500 <br />children. <br />Task/Action: <br />1. Provide assessments for children to determine causation of any <br />developmental delays. <br />2. Provide a therapeutic children's program that includes the utilization of art, <br />music and movement as therapy, and provides learning opportunities about <br />nutrition, safety, family, the community and cultures. <br />3. Provide teen groups that deal with violence in and outside the home, <br />substance abuse, and healthy relationships. <br />Goal: Help clients become more aware of available resources. <br />Obiective(s): <br />1. Provide advocacy to at least 9,000 clients and at least 10.000 referrals. <br />Task/Actio"-' <br />1. Provide legal and immigration advocacy. <br />2. Provide resources and referrals for food, clothing, housing, financial, social <br />services, insurance, substance abuse treatment, placement into other <br />programs, and any other necessary assistance. <br />3.
