<br />, <br /> <br />, ~\) l ~ <br />D.~~ <br />~. <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />A-2004-176-11-01 <br /> <br />FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT <br />URBAN AREA SECURITY INITIATIVE (UASI) <br /> <br />THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is entered into o~v; \ 2 ') <br />_, 200;:" by and between the City of Irvine, acting through the Irvine Po ice <br />Department ("Subgrantee") and the City of Santa Ana ("City"), <br /> <br />Recitals: <br /> <br />A, The parties entered into Agreement A-22_0j-176-11 ,dated February 22, 2005 <br />(hereinafter "said Agreement") by which City, in its capacity as the Core City for the <br />Santa Ana Urban Area under the FY04 Urban Area Security Initiative (hereinafter <br />"UASI"), transferred UASI Grant Funds to Subgrantee to train and prepare <br />Subgrantee's employees for Emergency Preparedness, <br /> <br />B, In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the parties wish to <br />amend said Agreement to provide additional grant purposes which may be <br />reimbursed by UASI Funds, <br /> <br />Wherefore, in consideration of the covenants contained in said Agreement, and subject <br />to all the terms and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this First <br />Amendment to Agreement, the parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />I. Section I of said Agreement shall be deleted in its entirety and replaced with the <br />following: <br /> <br />"City may transfer to SUBGRANTEE, reimbursement to train members of <br />SUBGRANTEE in accordance with grant guidelines as outlined in Attachment A to <br />said Agreement. Other expenditures of SUBGRANTEE which comply with the <br />guidelines of the Homeland Security Department regarding expenditure ofUASI <br />Grant Funds, including additional staffing costs during heightened security alerts, <br />may be reimbursed by City upon the prior written approval of the Chief of Police of <br />City." <br /> <br />2, Section 5 of said Agreement shall be deleted in its entirety and replaced with the <br />following: <br /> <br />"SUBGRANTEE has been allocated $32,817,00 for training and emergency staffing <br />costs under the provisions of this agreement and guidelines outlined in attachment A" <br /> <br />3, Except as hereinabove amended, all terms and conditions of said Agreement shall <br />remain in full force and effect. <br />
