Award a contract to Hondo Company, Inc., the lowest responsible <br />bidder, in accordance with unit bid prices in the estimated amount of <br />$266,992 for Santa Ana Fire Training Facility Site Improvements. <br /> <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $333,700. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />On April 3, 2006, the City Council approved a five-year lease for a <br />modular building to be installed at the Fire Training Facility in <br />Centennial Park (Exhibit 1). Before the modular building can be <br />installed, site improvements need to be made. This project provides for <br />the construction of utility services, installation of an automatic gate, <br />wrought iron fence, and landscaping. Once completed, these improvements <br />will enhance the park and provide security for the facility. <br /> <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on April 28 and May 1, 2006, and <br />bids were opened on May 24, 2006.
