Whitaker, Ward 5 representative to the <br />Library Board <br /> <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br /> <br />CALTRANS schedule on the I-5 widening <br />presented by: <br /> <br />Barry Rabbitt <br />Deputy District Director of Construction <br /> <br />Following the presentation, Councilmembers discussed traffic impacts on local streets <br />resulting from the I-5 widening. With the Council's unanimous informal consent, the Mayor <br />requested staff investigate closing Santa Clara to westbound traffic, but keeping Santa Clara's <br />eastbound traffic open, at the intersection of Broadway and Santa Clara during the closure of <br />the Main Street bridge. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Motion: Approve staff recommendations on the following Consent Calendar Items. <br /> <br />Councilmember Mills registered an abstention on Item 22.A. The Clerk of the Council, with <br />the Council's informal consent, added to the Consent Calendar Councilmember Pulido's <br />absence from the March 1, 1993 Council meeting as excused due to his scheduled <br />Washington D.C. trip to advocate for federal funds for the City. <br /> <br />MOTION: Richardson SECOND: <br /> <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Lutz, Mills, Moreno, Norton, Richardson, Young <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: Pulido <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL M1NUTES 82 MARCH 1, 1993 <br /> <br /> <br />
