Sufficient advance notice to meet and confer wi th the City's <br />representative over the impact on affected City employeesi and <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Provide data showing the cos t <br />allow the affected employees <br />opportunity to demonstrate that <br />effective basis before the City <br />to layoff City employeesi and <br /> <br />savings of contracting out to <br />and their representatives the <br />they can do the work on a cost- <br />Council makes any final decision <br /> <br />3. If the decision is to contract out work being performed by City <br />employees, that the City whenever possible require the <br />contractor to commit to hiring City employees laid off, if anYi <br />and <br /> <br />4. Encourage the affected employees and their representatives to <br />provide information on the performance standards for those <br />contractsi and <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Whenever possible <br />indus try wages to <br />CitYi and <br /> <br />require the contractor to pay prevailing <br />its employees doing contract work for the <br /> <br />6. Periodically require staff to audit and prepare a report to the <br />City Council on those contracts to ensure that they are meeting <br />performance standards and actual cost savings efficiencies. <br /> <br />85A-1 <br /> <br />- <br />
