The existing roof is approximately 17 years <br />old and no longer cost effective to repair and maintain. The foam roofing <br />system proposed is comprised of a seamless layer of rigid polyurethane foam <br />covered with two coats of protective silicone rubber. The completed system <br />provides a durable and effective insulation with superior protection <br />against all weather conditions. The replacement roof will include a 25- <br />year warranty and, if properly maintained, should withstand 50 years. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on May 1 and 3, 2006, and bids were <br />solicited.
