Coppertop <br />Construction failed to sign their bid bond as required by the bidding <br />documents and therefore, Coppertop Construction's bid is non-responsive. <br />The lowest bid was submitted by Unique Performance Construction, Inc. for <br />$249,500, which is above the Engineer's estimate of $188,000. The high <br />bid is attributed to the recent escalation in material costs. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the <br />recommended action is exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption <br />ER no. 2002-304 was filed for this project. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />The funding analysis shows a total estimated construction cost of <br />$311,800 for the project (Exhibit 2).
