<br />The long-term operation of the proposed project would not <br />involve activities that would emit hazardous emissions or <br />involve the routine handling of large quantities of hazardous or <br />acutely hazardous materials. However, construction operations <br />and the long-term operation of the proposed project could <br />potentially involve the handling and storage of incidental <br />amounts of hazardous substances, such as paints, oils and <br />solvents. The proposed proj ect would be subj ect to compliance <br />with local, state and federal laws and regulations regarding the <br />storage and handling of hazardous materials. Compliance with <br />local, state and federal laws and regulations would reduce the <br />handling of hazardous materials to a level considered less than <br />significant. <br /> <br />C. Be located on a site which is located on a list of <br />hazardous material sites compiles pursuant to Government <br />Code Section 659662.5 and, as a result, would it create a <br />significant hazard to the public or the environment? <br /> <br />No Impact <br /> <br />According to the City of Santa Ana Fire Department and the State <br />Regional Water Quality Control Board, the project site is not <br />included on a list of hazardous material sites. Implementation <br />of the proposed project would not create a significant hazard to <br />the public or the environment. <br /> <br />D. For a project located within an airport land use plan or <br />where such a plan has not been adopted, within two miles <br />where a public airport or public use airport, would the <br />proj ect result in a safety hazard for people residing or <br />working in the project area? <br /> <br />Less Than Significant Impact <br /> <br />According to the Orange County Airport Land Use Commission <br />Airports Environs Land Use Plan, the project site is not located <br />within an Accident Potential Zone or Clear Zone. However, the <br />proj ect site is located wi thin Airports Environs Land Use Plan <br />Planning Area, and will require coordination and review by the <br />Airport Land Use Commission. The proj ect is not located in an <br />accident potential zone and the structures on the project site <br />would not exceed two stories in height. Therefore, <br />implementation of the proposed project would not result in <br />safety hazards for people residing in or working within the <br />project area. <br /> <br />VIII.
