<br />with construction, repair, remodeling, or grading of any real <br />property, provided said activities do not take place between the <br />hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on weekdays, including <br />Saturday, or any time on Sunday or a federal holiday. Compliance <br />with Noise Ordinance would reduce construction noise impacts to <br />a level considered less than significant. <br /> <br />E. For a project located within an airport land use plan or <br />where such a plan has not been adopted, within two miles of <br />a public airport or public use airport, would the project <br />expose people residing or working in the project area to <br />excessive noise levels? <br /> <br />Potentially Significant Unless Mitigation Incorporated <br /> <br />The Airport Environs Land Use Plan for Orange County establishes <br />policies and standards to protect the public from the adverse <br />effects of aircraft noise. The Airport Environs Land Use Plan <br />establishes two Noise Impact Zones around the vicinity of John <br />Wayne Airport. Noise Impact Zone 1 is areas where the CNEL is <br />greater than 65db CNEL. Noise Impact Zone 2 is areas where the <br />CNEL is 60 dB or greater, but less than 65dB. The project is <br />subject to Uniform Building Code requirements which would <br />include California Noise Insulation Standards to achieve <br />appropriate interior noise levels for the mix of land uses <br />proposed for the project. <br /> <br />According to the John Wayne Airport Environs Land Use Plan the <br />project site is located within the Noise Impact Zone 2 and would <br />require coordination and review by the Airport Land Use <br />Commission. According to the Airport Environs Land Use Plan, the <br />proposed project is permitted in Noise Impact Zone 2. However, <br />coordination with the Airport land use commission would still be <br />required. <br /> <br />Mitigation Measure <br /> <br />· Prior to the issuance of Building Permits, the project <br />developer shall coordinate with the John Wayne Airport Land <br />Use Commission on the land use/noise compatibility of the <br />proposed project. <br /> <br />XII. POPULATION AND HOUSING <br /> <br />A.
