project would not be inconsistent with the high quality <br />aesthetic environment of the Hotel Terrace area. <br />SR-55 Scenic Corridor <br />Scenic Corridors provide views of the City and largely <br />influence the public's aesthetic and visual experience. The <br />Urban Design Element identifies State Route 55 as a scenic <br />corridor. The proposed project would be consistent with the <br />Scenic Corridor Element in that the proposed project's view <br />from the SR-55 would reflect high quality design, landscape <br />treatment and lighting treatment that enhance the project site's <br />aesthetic appearance. <br />D. Create a new source of substantial light or glare, which <br />would adversely affect day or nighttime views in the area? <br />Less Than Significant Impact <br />The project site is situated within an urbanized area and is <br />surrounded by onstreet lighting. Implementation of the proposed <br />project would not introduce substantial amounts of new sources <br />of light and glare into the project area. Any lighting provided <br />on the project site would be designed and located so that all <br />direct rays are confined to the project site. <br />II. AGRICULTURE <br />A. Convert Prime Farmland, Unique Farmland or Farmland of <br />Statewide Importance to non-agriculture use? <br />B. Conflict with existing zoning for agriculture use or a <br />Williamson Contract? <br />C. Involve other changes in the existing environment, which, <br />due to their location or nature, could individually or <br />cumulatively result in loss of Farmland, to non-agriculture <br />use? <br />No Impact <br />According to the California Department of Conservation Farmland <br />Mapping and Monitoring Program, the project site does not <br />contain Unique Farmlands, Prime Farmlands or Farmlands of <br />Statewide Importance. Additionally, based on a site visit <br />conducted by the City's Environmental Coordinator, the project <br />site is currently not in agricultural production.
