Attachment A <br />FY05 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM <br />• CIP training <br />• Training associated with the collection, analysis, mapping, integration, and <br />dissemination of geospatial data and imagery <br />• Geospatial database use, design, development, and management training <br />• Agricultural /food security related training <br />• Training for citizens in terrorism awareness and for volunteer participation to <br />support law enforcement activities <br />Multiple level training should be focused on a regional model. Grantees using these <br />funds to develop their own courses should address the critical training areas and gaps <br />identified in the State's Homeland Security Strategy and must adhere to the ODP <br />Emergency Responder Guidelines and ODP Homeland Security Guidelines on <br />Prevention and Deterrence. These guidelines may be found at <br />http://www.o'p.usdo 9 aov /odp /whatsnew /whats new.htm. <br />Exercises <br />LETPP funds may be used to design, develop, conduct, and evaluate terrorism <br />prevention related exercises, including the following: <br />• Exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of information sharing plans, policies, <br />procedures and protocols <br />• Exercises to evaluate NIMS implementation <br />• Exercises to evaluate facility and /or vessel security protection <br />• Exercises to evaluate area maritime security protection <br />• Exercises to evaluate threat recognition capabilities <br />• Exercises to evaluate cyber security capabilities <br />• Exercises to evaluate agricultural /food security capabilities <br />• Exercises to evaluate prevention readiness and techniques <br />• "Red Team" (force on force) exercises <br />• Interoperable communications exercise <br />• Critical infrastructure vulnerability, protection, and /or attack exercises <br />DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY I OFFICE FOR DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS <br />77 <br />
