BUSINESS CALENDAR <br /> <br />ORDINANCES/FIRST READING <br /> <br />50.A. <br /> <br />PROPERTY MAINTENANCE STANDARDS FOR RESIDENTIAL <br />BUILDINGS <br /> <br />Motion: Place ordinance on first reading and authorize publication of tide. <br /> <br />ORDiNANCE NS-2212 - An ordinance of the City of Santa Ana amending <br />Sections 8-1950, 8-1950.5, 8-1951, 1-18.1, and 16-34 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code to revise regulations pertaining to the maintenance of residential <br />property - Planning and Building Agency <br /> <br />MOTION: Pulido <br /> <br />SECOND: McGuigan <br /> <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br /> <br />Lutz, McGuigan, Mills, Moreno, Pulido, Richardson, <br />Young <br />None <br /> <br />ABSENT: None FILE BK <br /> <br />In response to Councilmember McGuigan's inquiry, Planning and Building Agency Executive <br />Director Robyn Uptegmff explained that staff was in the process of preparing a plan to <br />communicate the new property maintenance standards to residential property owners. <br /> <br />50.B. <br /> <br />ZOA 92-004 - CUP'S FOR ALL-NIGHT RESTAURANTS <br /> <br />Alberta Christy, 2108 W. Glenwood, Valley High Neighborhood Association President, <br />expressed support for proposed Ordinance NS-2213, a zoning ordinance amendment which <br />would require Conditional Use Permits (CUP's) for restaurants with 24-hour operations <br />adjacent to residential neighborhoods. <br /> <br />Leonardo Nufiez, 1221 E. First St., and Lucia Salinas, 1904 W. First St., expressed concerns <br />regarding the adverse impact of the ordinance on their respective businesses. <br /> <br />Planning and Building Agency Executive Director Robyn Uptegraff explained the specifics of <br />the ordinance, indicating that existing businesses had a two-year period in which to apply for <br />a Permit and would be exempt from Permit fees, and that only the conditions relating to <br />business operations would be evaluated during the permitting process. <br /> <br />Motion: Place ordinance on first reading and authorize publication of title. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 7 JANUARY 3, 1994 <br /> <br /> <br />
