NS-2717 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 8 OF <br />THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO CITY <br />MANAGER'S AUTHORITY TO ENTER CONTRACTS <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. The Section 421 of the Santa Ana Charter provides that the city council may <br />authorize the city manager to bind the city on contracts in an amount not <br />exceeding $10,000.00. <br /> <br />B. The City Council has proposed that the voters amend Section 421 of the <br />Santa Ana Charter to authorize the City Council to set, by ordinance, the <br />dollar amount of the City Manager's authority to bind the city on contracts. <br /> <br />Section 2. Section 2-801 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, relating to city <br />manager's authority, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 2-801. City manager's authority. <br /> <br />The city manager is authorized to bind the city to anyone written contract for an <br />amount not exceeding the sum of leA thou.ana aallar. ($10,000.00) twentv-five <br />thousand dollars ($25.000.00) <br /> <br />Section 3.
