C TY MANAGER <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />..-/ <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Award a contract to All Green Plant Company for citywide plant maintenance <br />for a one-year period, with provision for three, one-year renewals in the <br />annual amount not to exceed $29,714. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The City provides an aesthetic environment in the workplace by decorating <br />agency offices and reception areas with indoor plants. The contract <br />provides for regularly scheduled plant maintenance which includes watering, <br />fertilizing, pruning, trimming, insect or disease treatment, cleaning, <br />dusting and polishing. Distressed plants are replaced at no cost to the <br />City. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on May 10 and 12, 2006, and bids <br />were solicited.
