In <br />order to meet the funding cash flow availability, the widening will be <br />done in phases. Phase I of the four phase improvements is between <br />McFadden Avenue and pine Street. Construction for Phase I is anticipated <br />to commence in 2008. <br /> <br />Staff has solicited proposals for design engineering services. These <br />services are required to assist City staff to complete the design and <br />prepare contract documents for phase I of Bristol Street widening project <br />in a timely manner. Qualified firms were contacted and four firms <br />submitted proposals. <br /> <br />These proposals were reviewed by a review committee comprised of <br />personnel from City staff and outside agencies, which include <br />representatives from the Cities of Irvine and Costa Mesa, and OCTA, The <br />final scores for the four firms are as follows: <br /> <br />FIRM <br /> <br />SCORE <br /> <br />Fee <br /> <br />1.
