<br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />. Asked the City Attorney to look at a measure to ban fireworks for the <br />2008 municipal election <br />. Congratulated the Fire Department and Police Department for the <br />Boys and Girls Club "Ride to the Coast" where over $60,000 was <br />raised; and asked for a letter from the Mayor to Costa Mesa and <br />Irvine thanking them for granting street access in their respective <br />cities. <br />. Announced that the Boys and Girls Club were the benefactor of a $1 <br />million estate <br />. Wished a Happy 4th of July <br /> <br />Mavor Pro Tem Bist <br />. Invited residents to the Wilshire Square Concert <br />. Congratulated Washington Square for their successful concert <br />. Requested increased staff enforcement of permit parking over the <br />next couple of months <br />. Thanked Fire and Police Departments for working together to <br />provide stronger enforcement during the 4th of July activities <br />. Asked that the public be patient when calling in incidents on the 4th <br />of July since there are normally a lot of calls <br />. Reminded residents to remember to bring pets indoor during the 4th <br />of July <br /> <br />Councilmember Alvarez <br />. Encouraged the public to view the Soccer World Cup Finals <br />. Invited residents to attend an event on July 9th recognizing the 50 <br />best players in the Santa Ana Soccer Leagues at Centennial Park at <br />10:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Bustamante <br />. Addressed Bristol Project residential concerns and noted that the <br />proposed condominiums are for sale, not rental property <br />. Urged parents to watch their children closely during the 4th of July <br />fireworks <br />. Wished a happy 4th of July <br /> <br />Mavor Pulido <br />. Reported that the Irvine Ranch Water District is willing to provide up <br />to 100 free trees per month, and directed staff to work with the water <br />district to find ways to place those trees in the City. <br />. Requested staff to meet with staff from the Great Park to obtain <br />access to soccer fields for Santa Ana Soccer Leagues <br />.
