Award a contract to Dominguez General Eng' neering Contractor, the <br />lowest responsible bidder, in accordance wit unit bid prices in the <br />estimated amount of $1,579,175 for construction of a storm drain on <br />Bristol Street between McFadden Avenue and Pi e Street. <br /> <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total est' mated construction cost <br />of $1,974,700. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The City's Master Drainage Plan calls for the construction of a storm <br />drain system along the Bristol Corridor. Curr ntly, there is no storm <br />drain along Bristol between McFadden Avenue and Pine Street (Exhibit 1). <br />This project will provide for construction of a storm drain main line <br />that will serve the upcoming widening of Bristol Street. Once completed, <br />this storm drain system will improve the run-off along the corridor. <br /> <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on June <br />were opened on July 13, 2006.
