<br />It also qualifies for listing in the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties und r Criterion 4, for its association with a locally
<br />famous person and family and under Criterion 1 for its exemplification of the di. inguishlng characteristics of the Tudor
<br />Revival style, The verticality of the gables, attic vents, and chimneys and the s licco cladding in combination with decorative
<br />half-timbering, a wood-framed entry vestibule, and planked front door represen the Tudor Revival as it was interpreted in
<br />southern California, The house also contributes to the historic character of the Floral Park neighborhood through its age,
<br />style, scale, and historic association with important members of the local busin ss and social community, Additionally, the
<br />house has been categorized as "Key" because it "is associated with a significaf t person," Dr, Dexter R, Ball, in the history of
<br />the City and because it "has a distinctive architectural style and quality" as an e ample of the Tudor Revival style,
<br />Character-defining exterior features of the 0, R. Ball House that should be pres rved include, but may not be limited to:
