a public airport or public use airport, would the project <br />expose people residing or working in the project area to <br />excessive noise levels? <br />No Impact <br />According to the Orange County Airport Environs Land Use Plan <br />portions of Santa Ana are impacted by aircraft noise. Approval <br />of the amendment to the Municipal Code to establish an ordinance <br />for the regulation of Big Box retail uses would not facilitate <br />development within areas impacted with aircraft noise. Through <br />the conditional use permit process, future Big Box retail uses <br />implemented under the proposed ordinance would be evaluated for <br />potential aircraft noise impacts and would be subject to the <br />City's noise standards. <br />X2. POPULATION/HOUSING <br />A. Induce substantial population growth in an area, either <br />directly or indirectly through extension of roads or other <br />infrastructure. <br />8. Displace substantial numbers of existing housing, <br />necessitating the construction of replacement housing <br />elsewhere. <br />C. Displace substantial numbers of people, necessitating the <br />construction of replacement housing elsewhere? <br />No Impact <br />The proposed amendment to the Municipal Code to establish an <br />ordinance for the regulation of Big Box retail uses would not <br />induce substantial growth in the City or displace substantial <br />numbers of existing housing or population, in that approval of <br />the proposed ordinance would not involve any activities that <br />would generate additional population or displaces homes and/or <br />population. <br />XII.
