<br />3. SANTA ANA RENAISSANCE SPECIFIC PLAN UPDATE <br />Karen Haluza reported that the Charrette Catalog is being finalized and <br />will be the first printed product from the consultant Moule & Polyzoides. <br />The catalog will include diagrams, drawings, presentations and <br />photographs and will be on the City's web site. Moule & Polyzoides will be <br />making presentations to various City Boards and Commissions and a <br />listing of these study session dates will be available soon. <br /> <br />Reported that there was a large turnout from the Lacy Neighborhood at <br />the Friday night session of the Charrette meetings. Separate sessions <br />have been scheduled to deal with their concerns. <br /> <br />Staff will report back to Council at the June 19 meeting. <br /> <br />4. SECURITY OF 4TH STREET BUSINESSES UPDATE <br />Officer Campuzano reported some crime/call statistics and mentioned that <br />patrol checks have been increased and a Downtown Suppression detail <br />has been organized. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />3rd STREET SECURITY UPDATE - FESTIVAL HALL <br />Corporal Nelson mentioned that he has attended some Loft Association <br />meetings. He noted to them the importance of having the loft owners and <br />the area business owners call the SAPD to report any incidents, etc. This <br />will help in keeping accurate statistics and helping the SAPD in supporting <br />the area. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />6. PROJECT UPDATES <br />a) SC Gas Buildino - Steve Harding reported that discussion on the cost <br />of the building continues. <br /> <br />b) Phase III Olson Lofts Status - Steve Harding reported that a status <br />update will be presented to Council at the June 5 Closed Session <br />meeting. <br /> <br />c) Otis Buildino Update - Staff reported that there has been no response <br />from the owner. <br /> <br />D) Construction of Archway Sion on South Main Street - Mindy Ly and <br />Danell Mercado met with the South Main Merchants' Association. The <br />Association suggested that the words "South Main" be added to the <br />sign. Committee members did not agree with this suggestion and <br />asked staff to report back at the next meeting with other suggestions <br />that include the wording "Retail District," "Historic Retail," or Historic <br />District. <br /> <br />Main St. Dev.
