<br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br /> <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br /> <br />AUGUST 21, 2006 <br /> <br />TITLE: <br />AGREEMENTS FOR ON-CALL DESIGN <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />o As Recommended <br />o As Amended <br />o Ordinance on 1st Reading <br />o Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />o Implementing Resolution <br />o Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I I <br />\!ECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and <br />the Clerk of the Council to execute: <br /> <br />· An agreement with DMJM Harris for design engineering services in the <br />amount not to exceed $300,000. <br /> <br />· An amendment to the agreement with Willdan for design engineering <br />services for $200,000 for a total amount of $400,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Each year, the Public Works Agency solicits proposals for on-call <br />engineering services to augment City staff to complete the design of <br />Capital Improvement Program in a timely manner. Qualified firms were <br />contacted and four firms submitted proposals. These proposals were <br />reviewed by a committee comprised of personnel from City agencies. <br /> <br />The ratings for the firms are as follows: <br /> <br />FIRM <br /> <br />RATING <br /> <br />1.
