<br />Mexican American Opportunity Foundation <br />FEZ Daisy Wheel Network Program <br />Scope of Work <br />July 1, 2006 - June 30, 2007 <br /> <br />I. TERM <br />July I, 2006 through June 30, 2007 <br /> <br />II. PURPOSE <br />The FEZ Daisy Wheel Network Program will provide vocational/occupational training, employment strategies, <br />education, and supportive services to individuals who reside in the Federal Empowerment Zone. <br /> <br />III. POPULA nON TO BE SERVED <br />The population to be served are Federal Empowerment Zone residents 16 years and older. <br />Eligibility will be determined by age, address, and by Right to Work documentation. <br /> <br />IV. PROGRAM DESIGN, ELEMENTS, AND OUTCOMES FOR "lexican American Opportunity Foundation <br />A. Program Design: <br />I. Provide an intake assessment (for screening) of each FEZ resident that includes a review of academic <br />and occupational skills levels as well as service needs; <br />2. Develop an Individual Service Plan including notifying achievement objectives. <br />B. Program Elements: <br />1. The following program elements will be made available to eligible residents expected to enroll in the <br />FEZ Daisy Wheel Network Program for participation in activities aimed at providing a <br />comprehensive strategy that addresses employment and training needs: <br />I. vocational/occupational training, <br />II. employment strategies, <br />Ill. education, and <br />IV. supportive services <br /> <br />C. Perforn1ance Outcomes <br />I. 911 FEZ residents will be served within 10 months. <br />2. Of the 90 FEZ residents served, 45 (50%) will be provided additional services within 10 months. <br />3. Of the 90 FEZ residents served, 36 (40%) will be provided with work experience, receive On-the-Job <br />Training, receive retention services, attend English as a Second Language classes, be provided with <br />skill upgrades, have access to paid internships, etc. within 10 months. <br />4.
