Number of only unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program, named above, <br />during the 12-month contract period. <br />156 PERSONS <br /> <br />Program and Funding Description <br />III. Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month <br />contract period. <br /> <br />The Mariposa Family Program is designed to meet the special needs of women and families in Santa Ana in a variety of counseling <br />and life skills education programs, These include: individual, couples. family. group, and crisis counseling, substance abuse <br />education and counseling, parenting classes (including a series in Spanish), bereavement counseling and support, therapeutic groups <br />for men, women, children and teens, anger management and other life skills education, occupational therapy assistance, and other <br />forms of counseling and support. As over 82% of the people served by Mariposa are low income, services are provided on a sliding <br />scale to enable clients to receive services according to their ability to pay. Mariposa's goal is to help low-income women and their <br />families resolve the problems they are experiencing, so that they can go on to lead happy, healthy, productive lives. With respect to <br />Santa residents, our objective is to provide counseling, parenting classes, support groups, and life skills education to at least 156 <br />Santa Ana residents in the course of the FY 06-07 year, <br /> <br />IV, Activities funded by this grant - How will CDBG funds be used for the funded program? Narratively <br />describe the budget for the funded program illustrated in Exhibit B and B-1. <br /> <br />COHO funds will be used to pay the salaries and benefits of Mariposa Family Program staff. <br /> <br />Exhibit A <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
