NS-2718 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA ADDING SECTION 2-300.4 OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATED TO <br />CONFERRING THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF <br />EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOMENT <br />UPON THE DEPUTY CITY MANAGER OF DEVELOPMENT <br />SERVICES. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, <br />determines and declares as follows: <br />A. The Council is desirous of transferring the powers and duties of the <br />Executive Director of Community Development to the Deputy City <br />Manager for Development Services. <br />Section 2. Section 2-300.4 is added to the Santa Ana Municipal Code to <br />read as follows <br />Sec. 2-300.4. Powers and Duties of Deputy City Manager for <br />Development Services. <br />All references in this Code, or in any resolution, agreement, regulation, <br />authorization or directive of the city council, the city manager or any board <br />or commission of the City of Santa Ana, or any agency or body controlled <br />by the City of Santa Ana, or in any document whatsoever, to the executive <br />director of community development shall be deemed references to the <br />deputy city manager for development services, and the deputy city <br />manager for development services shall assume all powers and duties <br />otherwise exercised by the executive director of community development. <br />Section 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of <br />this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision <br />of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the <br />remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each section, <br />subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that <br />any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions be <br />declared invalid or unconstitutional. <br />Ordinance No. NS-2718 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />11 D-1 <br />
