NO. 06-107) <br />F <br />CIT A AGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Award a contract to Tree of Life Nursery for the purchase of native plants <br />in the amount of $19,143. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency is renovating Santiago <br />Park in order to improve the natural conditions of the park and increase <br />the wildlife habitat for native and migratory birds. A portion of the <br />renovation includes the installation of native plants consisting of 55 <br />different species of Native Grasslands, Oak Woodlands, and Coastal Sage <br />Scrubs in the Santiago Park Day Camp area. <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on July 7 and 10, 2006, and bids <br />were solicited.
