<br />BUSINESS CALENDAR <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />RATIFY THE MODIFICATION OF SANTA ANA EMPOWERMENT <br />CORPORATON ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION TO CHANGE THE <br />QUORUM FOR SAEC BOARD MEETINGS. <br /> <br />Motion: <br /> <br />Continue the matter to the next regular meeting of the Santa Ana <br />Empowerment Zone Board <br /> <br />Motion to continue was adopted by unanimous consent of the members <br />present <br /> <br />BOARD TASK FORCE REPORT <br /> <br />Director Anton reported that, at its June 141h meeting, the Budget and Program Task <br />Force discussed the Delhi Center Entrepreneur Program and noted that the Delhi <br />Center is re-doing the plan to incorporate an economic component. <br /> <br />Director Hernandez reported that the Education Task Force focused on priorities at its <br />May meeting and reviewed three English language development programs. She noted <br />that the Task Force will conduct a work study session at its next meeting on July 7'h to <br />further discuss and review the programs. <br /> <br />Chair Bloom-Ramos reported that the Marketing Task Force is currently reviewing the <br />GIS component of the web-site, and noted that the Task Force will be conducting <br />interviews during the qualification process. <br /> <br />Chair Bloom-Ramos reported that the Sustainability Task Force is reviewing the <br />process for hiring a consultant to develop plans and priorities for self-sustainability, and <br />noted that applications have been mailed out and the Task Force is waiting for the <br />responses. <br /> <br />STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br />Linda Summers reported that the Community Development Agency is actively seeking <br />to fill the vacant Empowerment Zone staff positions and noted that she will keep the <br />board informed on the process. <br /> <br />Ms. Summers also announced that there will be a workshop on parliamentary <br />procedures from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on July 27'h which is being coordinated through <br />the City Attorney's office <br /> <br />SAEC MINUTES <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />June 28, 2006 <br />
