<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 91-066 TO <br />PROVIDE AN INCREASE IN SALARY FOR THE <br />EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT CLASSIFICATION OF DEPUTY <br />CITY MANAGER FOR DEVELOPMENT SERVICES (EM). <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines, and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install, and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations <br />and the approval of the City Council. <br /> <br />B. On July 1, 1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 91-066, re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation <br />Plan for classes of employment designated as Executive Management <br />(EM) and Middle Management (MM). <br /> <br />C. It is proposed that the salary level for the executive management <br />classification title of Deputy City Manager for Development Services be <br />increased, in order to maintain internal pay equity relationships and attract <br />and retain qualified candidates. <br /> <br />D. It is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 91-066, as amended, in <br />order to effect these changes. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br />Section 2: That Section 3A of Resolution No. 91-066, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by providing equity adjustments to the following classification title: <br /> <br />15-Step Salary Rate Ranqe (SRR) Effective 9/05/06 <br /> <br />Classification Title <br />Deputy City Manager for <br />Development Services (EM) EM37 ($113,580-160,448) EM39 ($119,328-168,612) <br /> <br />FROM Annual Salary <br />No. (Min-Max) <br /> <br />TO Annual Salary <br />No. (Min-Max) <br /> <br />55E-2 <br />
