Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager and the Fire Chief to <br />submit a grant application through the State of California for the <br />U.S. Department of Homeland Security, 2006 Emergency Management <br />Performance Grant Program. <br />2. Approve an appropriation adjustment accepting the Emergency Management <br />Performance Grant in the amount of $22,490. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The State of California Office of <br />implementing the United States <br />Emergency Management Performance <br />assist in providing staff at the <br />Center, update emergency planning <br />operation equipment. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Emergency Services is responsible for <br />Department of Homeland Security's <br />Grant Program (EMPG). These funds <br />Operational Area Emergency Operation <br />and training, and improve emergency <br />Approval of the appropriation adjustment will increase anticipated <br />revenues in the Fire Department 2006 EMPG Grant revenue account by <br />$22,490 (account no. 146-01-5350-7) ! and increase the 2006 EMPG Grant, <br />Other Materials and Supplies expenditure account by the same amount <br />(account no 146-330-6391) . . <br />
