Bowers Museum Corporation for capital repair and replacement at the <br />Museum. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Bowers Museum Corporation operates the City of Santa Ana owned Charles <br />M. Bowers Museum of Cultural Art pursuant to a 2001 Amended and Restated <br />Operating Agreement. In September 2005, the City Council and the <br />Redevelopment Agency approved and authorized several actions to facilitate <br />the $14 million expansion of the Bowers Museum. Construction of the <br />expansion area is well underway. In conjunction with the Museum's grand <br />opening in early 2007, it is desirable to paint the existing Museum to <br />match the expansion area and to make other repairs. Under the terms of <br />the Agreement, the City is responsible for providing funding for Capital <br />Repair and Replacement. The subject reimbursement agreement provides that <br />the Bowers Museum Corporation will coordinate the needed work and be <br />reimbursed by the City. The estimated cost for the painting and other <br />repairs shall not exceed $150,000. <br />25C-1 <br />
