INSURANCE NOT REQUIRED N-2006-089 WORK MAY PROCEED CLERK OF COUNCIL DATE: 8- 048-06 0: PRCS (2) COOPERATIVE EDUCATION AGREEMENT (C.,Ihompkina) Between The COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT And The CITY OF SANTA ANA THIS AGREEMENT is entered into by the COAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT (Golden West College), hereinafter referred to as "District" and the CITY OF SANTA ANA, hereinafter referred to as "City" for the purpose of reciting the terms and conditions upon which the District and City shall conduct certain "Zoo Keeper Camps" for the period beginning on July 20, 2006 and terminating on September 15, 2006. WHEREAS the District and the City both acknowledge a public obligation to foster community education for our community youth, and WHEREAS the City has available facilities to provide community youth with educational experiences related to wildlife and their environment, and WHEREAS the Board of Trustees of District, on July 19, 2006 have approved of this agreement and have authorized the services contemplated therein; The DISTRICT and the CITY hereby agree to the following The District shall pay to City the sum of One Hundred and Forty Dollars ($140.00) per/child for all children enrolled in "Zoo Keeper Camp I" and "Advanced Zoo Keeper", educational programs for children conducted by City. 1. DISTRICT RESPONSIBILITIES A. Students of District shall observe the policies and regulations of City, and will comply with established standards set forth for the conduct of the "Zoo Keeper Programs." B. The District shall be responsible loot the planning and implementation of necessary prerequisite instruction in advance of the students attending the "Zoo Keeper Camp" educational programs. C. The District is responsible for the maintenance of required student records for students participating in the "Zoo Keeper Programs" including but not limited to the student's permission slips. D. The District shall inform all students about the appropriate dress and behavior required for participation in the "Zoo Keeper Programs." E. The District shall provide all educational materials to students not specifically provided for by City for the "Zoo Keeper Programs."
